The Simple Funeral Option
The provision of funeral director services to include:
- Collection of your loved one within a 20-mile radius day or night
- The personal and professional services of a funeral director, including attending to all necessary funeral arrangements, attendance on the day of the funeral, advice on the certification and registration of death, care and support as needed
- 24-hour funeral director support and guidance
- Care and preparation of the deceased prior to the funeral (embalming not included)
- Full use of the chapel of rest and private viewing facilities during normal working hours by appointment (closed coffin only)
- Provision of a simple coffin and basic white gown suitable for burial or cremation
- Provision of a hearse with driver within a 20-mile radius to meet at the service at a time and date of our choosing
- The option for burial or cremation
- Scattering of ashes in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium or the return of ashes to the family within a 20-mile radius

Kindly note that the following services are not permitted when choosing the Simple Funeral:
- Visiting the deceased without an appointment or out of hours
- Choice of time and date of the funeral (the service will be at or before 10.30am or after 3.00pm)
- Dressing of the deceased in personal clothing
- Traditional cortege from funeral home or personal residence
- Alternative horse-drawn or specialist hearse
- Provision of a limousine
- Organisation of newspaper notices or floral tributes
Please note that a church service or cortege is not an option on the Simple Funeral.
A Simple Funeral requires a minimum deposit of £2,000.00 to be paid no later than 5 working days prior to the funeral taking place.
